Description: This money bank features Homer Simpson standing up in his normal clothes. It is a very delicate hand painted ceramic money box. It is part of the Harry James ceramic money box series featuring this item and a Bart lying on a sofa money box.

I bought this wonderful Homer ceramic money box from Ebay. This is quite a rare piece of Simpsons merchandise. Here, Homer's design is based on the early Simpsons episodes, possibly the Tracy Ulman Show, in which his head is somewhat slanted backwards. His upper mouth part is also a lot longer than the bottom, which is similar to the mouth of Binky in Life in Hell. No matter what it is, there is definately a feeling of antiquity.
There is a coin slot in the back of the Homer bank, and a hole on the bottom for taking the coins out. The money box is complete with its original black rubber stopper. This is another valuable piece in my Harry James collection, which I am on my way to finish it soon!
