Storyline:

Although entitled Lisa's First word, we also hear Barts and Maggies. We first see the family crowded around Maggie, encouraging her to speak. From this, Marge goes into telling the story of Lisa's first word. We flashback to the 1980's, to see Homer just back from work, greeted by a baby Bart. The Simpsons are living in a small apartment on the Lower Eastside of Springfield.

Marge finds out she is pregnant again (with Lisa) and things need to change. The Simspons first go house hunting, where they find their present day one now. However, it is out of the price range, and Homer need help from Grandpa Abe, who sells his own house to help out. Homers tells him he will be welcome to stay with him. (He is put in the retirment home 3 weeks later).

Lisa is born, and Bart begins to grow extremely jealous of her, attempting every possible way to get rid of her. In the end, he decides he's had enough, until Lisa reveals her first word - Bart. He rushes to his parents to show them, and Bart then grows very fond of her. The scene changes back to the present time, where Lisa and Bart are arguing. Homer takes Maggie to bed, where, when no one is around, gives her first word - Daddy.

Memorable Conversations:

Baby Bart: Homer!
Homer: Homer is what grown-ups call me. Call me Daddy.
Bart: Homer!
Homer: Daddy!
Bart: Homer!
Homer: Daddy!
Bart: Da- Da- Da
Homer: Yes?
Bart: Domer!

Marge: Guess what Homie, there's gonna be twice as much love in this house as their is now.
Homer: We're gonna start doing it in the morning?
Marge: No!
Homer: Oh...
Marge: We're going to have another baby.

Homer: The baby can have Bart's crib, and Bart can sleep with us until he's 21.
Marge: Won't that warp him?
Homer: My cousin Frank did it.
Marge: You don't have a cousin Frank.
Homer: He became Francine back in '76, then he joined that cult. I think his name is Mother Sha-boo-boo now.

Homer: Maggie! I'll give you this cookie if you talk. *Maggie points away*
Homer: What? What? *She grabs the cookie of him*
Homer: D'oh! All right, you win round seven.

Clown Bed: If you should die, before you wake! *Cackles*
(Next Day) Bart: Can't sleep, clown will eat me. Can't sleep, clown will eat me.

Grandma Flanders: Hello, Joe!

Notes:

We find out Bart's first word is Ay Caramba, when he walked in on Homer and Marge in bed.

The Simpsons realtor is: 'Stinking Fish Realty: With a name this bad we've got to be good'.

Maggies first word is Daddy, which was performed by Elizabeth Taylor.
