When she see's the picture, she becomes obsessed with the fact that she thinks she is ugly. Homer, meanwhile, has just won a dream ride on the Duff blimp. Back at home, Lisa is still upset, and Homer unsucsesfully tries to cheer her up. He goes to Moe's where he sees the TV Ad for the Little Miss Springfield Beauty Paegent. Perfect! But the entry fee is $250. So Homer very unselfishly sells him blimp ticket to Barney. Lisa is helped to prepare for the paegent by Marge and Bart. Marge takes her to a salon, where she adopts a new hairstyle. And Bart teaches her the ways of the paegent. This includes a lesson for walking in high heels, in which Bart is an expert. The night of the contest comes, and although she provides an excellent performance, she is beaten by a girl named Amber Dempsey, a very experience paegent girl. However, Amber is struck by lightening, so Lisa must take her place. When she does however, things start to change. She begins speaking out, and Mayor Quimby wants her gone. They find a mistake on her entry form, where it says 'Do not write here', it appears Homer had wrote 'Ok'. But all's well. Lisa's happy. Homer's happy. We're all happy. Memorable Conversations: Physchic: I'd say...53 years old and 420 pounds. Homer: Ha ha! You lose! 36 and 239! Lisa: I'm an 'ugmo'. Homer: Now that's not true. Your'e as cute as a bug's ear! Lisa: Fathers have to say that stuff. Homer: Dad, am I as cute as a bug's ear? Abe: No! You're as homely as a mule's butt! Homer: There, see? Homer: When it comes to compliments, women are bloodsucking monsters always wanting more! More! More! Choreographer: I said step, pause, turn, pause, pivot, step, step..not step, pause, turn, pause, pivot, step, pause! Oh, shudder! Bart: *Walking in high heels* Heel, toe. Heel, toe. heel, toe. Lisa: Do you really think I can win? Bart: Hey, I'm starting to think I can win. Lisa: I'm Lisa Simpson. And I wnna be Little Miss Springfield so I can make our town a better place! Homer: *In crowd* Yeh! Clean up this stinkhole! News Reporter: Coming up next. A new fad that is sweeping the nation. Wasting food. Lisa: I don't wanna be a spokesperson for a cigarette company! Laramie Executive: But your a role-model for young people. And we're thinking of retiring Menthol Moose. Homer: *Saluting* Bless you boys! Marge: Homer, those are ice cream men.
